Claire Luxton is a British contemporary multi-disciplinary artist working with photography, immersive installation and poetry.

She works from her rural studio based in East Sussex, and the nature she is surrounded by is always reflected in her work. After receiving a BFA from Goldsmiths University of London, Luxton’s practice developed a strongly recognisable ascetic, which quickly gained her recognition. Her dynamic work explores the delicate equilibrium between humans and nature, the ominous undercurrents oscillate between constructed femininity and alluring vulnerability, seducing the viewer with colour, intrigue, joy and uncertainty.

Collected internationally the artist’s work has been shown from London to Singapore, including exhibits at The London Art Fair and Art Basel.

Luxton’s most notable commissions include public art projects for The Crown Estate, Westminster and Westfield Forum des Halles and brand collaborations with Hendricks, Wedgwood, InterContinental and L’Occitane. Luxton is represented by MTArt Agency.
